Quarterfinals set for New Japan Cup 2022


The quarterfinals of this year’s New Japan Cup are now fully set.
The third round of the tournament concluded with a show at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo on Friday. Hiromu Takahashi and Shingo Takagi advanced to the quarterfinals with victories. Full results from the show are listed below:
– New Japan Cup third-round match: Hiromu Takahashi defeated EVIL
– New Japan Cup third-round match: Shingo Takagi defeated Chase Owens
– Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Kazuchika Okada & Toru Yano
– Jeff Cobb & Will Ospreay defeated Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI
– Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI & Tomohiro Ishii defeated Minoru Suzuki, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & TAKA Michinoku
– Bad Luck Fale, Taiji Ishimori & El Phantasmo defeated Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa & Jado
– SHO & Yujiro Takahashi defeated El Desperado & DOUKI
– Hiroshi Tanahashi, Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato defeated Togi Makabe, Tomoaki Honma & YOH
Hiromu and Shingo, who are stablemates in Los Ingobernables de Japon, will now face off in the quarterfinals.

Monday, March 21 —
- Will Ospreay vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

Both semifinal matches will then take place on Saturday, March 26, with the finals being held on Sunday, March 27.
