NJPW unveils new Strong Women’s Championship

NJPW has unveiled the Strong Women’s Championship title belt.

During Saturday’s NJPW Resurgence press conference, the championship was displayed for the first time. The first champion will be determined in a one-night tournament that takes place at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California on Sunday.

Four women will compete in the tournament. One semifinal will have AEW’s Willow Nightingale take on Momo Kohgo, while the other will have Mercedes Mone take on CMLL’s Stephanie Vaquer. The winners of those matches will then meet in the main event, where the first champion will be crowned.
