Cheering has been discouraged at live events in Japan due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Since NJPW resumed shows in June of 2020, fans have been encouraged to clap instead of cheer during the shows.
DDT has also announced a show that will allow cheering taking place on July 7. The card will be headlined with Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura taking on Yuki Ueno and Toi Kojima.
NJPW’s next tour will be their G1 Climax tournament starting on July 16, running through August 18 in Budokan Hall.
