NJPW Super Junior Tag League 2024 night one results
NJPW’s annual junior heavyweight tag team tournament got underway on Thursday with a slate of A Block matches.
Robbie Eagles & Kosei Fujita, Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney, and Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI kickstarted their Super Junior Tag League campaigns with victories. Here are quick results from the show:
– A Block match: Robbie Eagles & Kosei Fujita defeated Ryusuke Taguchi & Dragon Dia
– A Block match: Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney defeated SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru
– A Block match: Hiromu Takahashi & BUSHI defeated Tiger Mask & Capitan Suicida
– Shota Umino, Master Wato & Jado defeated SANADA, DOUKI & TAKA Michinoku
– KUSHIDA, Kevin Knight & Tomoaki Honma defeated TJP, Francesco Akira & Jakob Austin Young\
– Taiji Ishimori, Robbie X & Gedo defeated The DKC, Ninja Mack & Shoma Kato
– Paris De Silva & Jude London defeated YOH & Katsuya Murashima
– Masatora Yasuda and Daiki Nagai went to a 10-minute time limit draw
The first day of B Block action will take place this Saturday (October 26). Including that event, there are seven more shows left on the Super Junior Tag League tour. The finals will be held at Power Struggle on Monday, November 4 with the winning team likely putting themselves in position for an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team title shot.
KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight — who are also competing in the tournament — are the current IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions.
