NJPW shares more details on tournaments for final two G1 Climax spots

NJPW has shared details on the upcoming tournaments that will determine the final two spots in this year’s G1 Climax.

On Monday, the company released details on the tournament, which begins on June 22 and will finish on July 5, when the A Block and B Block finals will be determined at Tokyo Budokan.

For the A Block, Chase Owens vs. YOSHI-HASHI and Yujiro Takahashi vs. Callum Newman will take place on June 22. The winners of those matches will face Tomohiro Ishii and KENTA respectively on July 3. The semifinal winners will then advance to the July 5 finals.

Meanwhile in the B Block, Toru Yano vs. Oleg Boltin and Satoshi Kojima vs. TJP will take place on June 23. The winners of those matches will then face Hiroshi Tanahashi and Taichi respectively on July 3. The semifinal winners will then advance to the finals.

The G1 tournament begins on July 20 in Osaka, with the finals taking place on August 18 at Ryogoku Kokugikan. The first eighteen wrestlers for the tournament were announced on Saturday.
