NJPW Road to Sakura Genesis results: Six-man tag main event

NJPW’s Road to Sakura Genesis tour continued today in Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. 

The event was the second show of the tour, but the first that was streamed on NJPW World. A second Road to Sakura Genesis show will stream Tuesday at 5:30 a.m. Eastern time. The new IWGP World Heavyweight Championship belt will be revealed at the event. 

Sakura Genesis takes place Sunday, April 4 at 4 a.m. Eastern time and will be streamed live on NJPW World. That show will be headlined by Kota Ibushi vs. Will Ospreay for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, Shingo Takagi & BUSHI defeated Master Wato, Yota Tsuji, Yuya Uemura & Gabriel Kidd (9:47)

SANADA pinned Uemura with an O’Connor roll. 

El Desperado, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & DOUKI defeated SHO, Tiger Mask & Ryusuke Taguchi (11:08)

Desperado used Numero Dos for the submission win over Tiger Mask. 

EVIL, KENTA, Bad Luck Fale, Yujiro Takahashi & Taiji Ishimori defeated Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano, Hrooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI (12:54)

Ishimori pinned Goto after hitting a Bloody Cross. 

Jay White, Gedo & Jado defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima (12:41)

White pinned Kojima after hitting a Blade Runner. 

Will Ospreay, Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb defeated Kota Ibushi, Yuji Nagata & Tomoaki Honma (14:58)

Ospreay pinned Honma after hitting a Stormbreaker.
