NJPW New Year Dash notes: Omega & Okada team, Just Four Guys stable forms

Some notes from Thursday morning’s New Year Dash, including Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada teaming in the main event, the first KOPW 2023 provisional champion, the formation of a new stable, and more.
Okada and Omega teamed up in the main event of the show, defeating Jeff Cobb and Aaron Henare, with Henare being pinned after a rainmaker. After the match, Cobb and Omega went face-to-face, with Cobb making it clear he wanted the first IWGP United States title shot.
Shingo Takagi defeated Toru Yano, Great-O-Khan, and SHO in a four-way match to become the first KOPW 2023 provisional champion. Takagi pinned Yano with the Last of the Dragon to win. After the match, Great-O-Khan confronted Takagi, holding his RevPro British Heavyweight Championship.
Taka Michinoku, Taichi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, and DOUKI came out for one of the mystery tag matches that took place at New Year Dash. Michinoku introduced the group, saying major changes would be coming to NJPW, calling the new stable Just Four Guys. The stable were victorious, with Taichi, DOUKI, and Kanemaru defeating Will Ospreay, TJP, and Francesco Akira. United Empire, however, attacked the group after the match.
After TDMK defeated YOSHI-HASHI, Hirooki Goto, and Tomohiro Ishii, Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls made clear to new IWGP Tag Team Champions Goto and YOSHI-HASHi that they wanted the next title shot. As TDMK sat on the apron, Zack Sabre Jr. decided they needed a new member. They grabbed young lion Kosei Fujita at ringside and put a TDMK shirt on him, officially making him the young lion of TDMK.
