New Japan Cup 2025 night four results, updated bracket

The 2025 New Japan Cup continued on Wednesday in Uwajima.

Two more wrestlers secured spots in the tournament quarterfinals with wins on today’s show.

In the semi-main event, Taichi eliminated Gabe Kidd via count out. The ongoing House of Torture vs. War Dogs rivalry played a role in the finish, as HOT interfered and attacked Kidd outside the ring, preventing him from getting back in the ring for the 20-count. Taichi vs. Zack Sabre Jr. in the quarterfinals will take place on Saturday.

In the main event, Shota Umino defeated The Great-O-Khan to advance to the quarterfinals. He picked up the win with a Northern Lights Bomb in a rematch from New Beginning in Osaka, where Khan defeated Umino and Umino shaved off his hair after. A bald Umino declined to give a post-match promo on Wednesday. He advances to the quarterfinals to face the winner of Tetsuya Naito vs. Jeff Cobb on Friday’s show.

Night five tournament schedule for Friday, March 14, (Second Round/Round of 16):

The tournament quarterfinals take place on Saturday in Aichi. The show will be headlined by Hirooki Goto defending the IWGP Workd Heavyweight title against Yuji Nagata.
