Jack Perry joins House of Torture at NJPW 52nd Anniversary Show

Jack Perry has joined House of Torture. 

Perry defeated Shota Umino to advance in the New Japan Cup on today’s 52nd Anniversary Show in Tokyo. Umino appeared to of had the match won when Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Ren Narita hit the ring. Kanemaru provided a distraction while Narita hit Umino with his push-up bar. Perry then landed a running knee before getting the pin. 

After the match, Perry accepted a House of Torture t-shirt from the group and they posed over a defeated Umino. 

Perry will now face Toru Yano in the second round of the tournament on March 11 after Yano defeated Takahashi earlier on Wednesday’s show. 

Perry said backstage after his match:

Everyones afraid to let me come back or even let me go even when I f***ing ask for it. But you know what? I get it. Nobody wants to look in the mirror so they need somebody to pin up on a cross so they can go about their daily lives and act like nothing happened. Well, guess what? That’s over now. 

There’s a very select, handful of people in the world who still have my back. But tonight, well I think I found a few more. 

Other results from today’s card include Tetsuya Naito defeating Sho in a champion vs. champion match and Yoshi-Hashi advancing in the New Japan Cup with a win over KENTA.
