Great-O-Khan vs. Suzu Suzuki KOPW title match set for NJPW x Stardom Historic X-Over II

Great-O-Khan’s open challenge has been answered.
The KOPW title holder appeared at Stardom Nagoya Golden Fight earlier this month and challenged any Stardom roster member to face him for the belt at Historic X-Over II on November 17 in Osaka. A press conference for the event was held today, and Suzu Suzuki came out to answer the challenge.
O-Khan told Suzuki that he would allow her to pick the rules rather than presenting their own rules for the match to be voted on by fans. Suzuki chose a no-disqualification hardcore match.
“I have battled any number of men and women under these rules, and I’ll have no issue taking that belt from you,” she said at today’s press conference.
O-Khan responded that “to give the lady a chance,” he would not use any weapons during the bout. Suzuki responded by saying that after she beats him in Osaka, she’ll cut off his braid and beard.
IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani and her upcoming challenger, Momo Watanabe, also spoke with the press today. Iwatani said that while she’s concerned the members of HATE will get involved in the bout, she’s confident that she’ll end the year still champion.
“My year started at TDC Hall against Syuri, and I’ve had big match after big match. This IWGP title has gained value with every single defense, and I’m truly happy it was created,’ she said before adding, “When I defend on November 17, and then again at Ryogoku in December, I’ll have held the belt all year and made 2024 the Year of Mayu Iwatani.”
