FTR set for NJPW Battle Autumn in Osaka

FTR have been added to the lineup for NJPW Battle Autumn in Osaka on November 5. 

In a video released late Monday on social media, NJPW announced that FTR is set for the Saturday, November 5 tour-closer in Osaka, Japan. FTR cut a promo in the video, challenging NJPW to present them with the best possible challengers. 

No indication was given whether or not FTR’s match will be a title bout. The duo currently hold NJPW’s top tag team titles, the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships. 

Three title matches have already been announced for the Osaka show, although Karl Anderson’s NEVER Openweight title defense is up in the air. Anderson issued a statement that he would not be there for the show after returning to WWE, where he is booked for the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia the same day. 

As it stands now, here is the announced lineup for Battle Autumn in Osaka: 

  • IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship: Will Ospreay (c) vs. Tetsuya Naito
  • NEVER Openweight Championship: Karl Anderson (c) vs. Hikuleo
  • IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship: TJP & Francesco Akira (c) vs. BUSHI & Titan
  • IWGP World Television Championship tournament semifinals
  • Kazuchika Okada in action
  • Jay White in action
  • Tama Tonga in action
  • Aussie Open in action
  • Parejas Increibles: Master Wato, Taiji Ishimori, El Desperado & Hiromu Takahashi (pairings TBA)
