First semifinal matchup set for New Japan Cup 2022

Half of the final four is set for the New Japan Cup 2022 tournament following today’s show in Niigata. 

Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito advanced to the semifinals with wins on Sunday, and will meet on Saturday, March 26 for a place in the finals. The finals will be held Sunday, March 27.

Okada defeated CIMA with a Rainmaker in Sunday’s main event, while Naito defeated Jeff Cobb with a rollup to advance. 

The other two quarterfinal bouts will take place Monday, with Will Ospreay facing Zack Sabre Jr., and Shingo Takagi taking on Hiromu Takahashi.
