MLW notes: War Chamber next week, Holliday gets World title shot

This week’s episode of MLW Fusion: Alpha saw the announcement for when War Chamber is going to air as well as a Dynasty member being awarded a World match in the near future.

After being taped last Saturday in Philadelphia, the War Chamber match between CONTRA unit and Team Hammerstone is set to go down next Wednesday on Fusion: Alpha.

Team CONTRA (Jacob Fatu, Mads Krugger, Ikuro Kwon, Josef Samuel and a Samurai Death Squad member) will take on Team Hammerstone (World Champion Alex Hammerstone, EJ Nduka, Richard Holliday, Savio Vega and a mystery member).

During this week’s episode, Cesar Duran told Hammerstone that he had a person in mind to fill out his War Chamber team which was teased as a big surprise.

In the closing moments of the show, Duran relayed to Alicia Atout that Holliday is scheduled to be awarded a MLW World title match. A date wasn’t given, but both Holliday and Hammerstone chalked it up to Duran trying to create tension among their team.

In Opera Cup tournament news, Davey Richards defeated Bobby Fish in a semifinal match, meaning he will meet the winner of TJP vs. Calvin Tankman, which is set to take place in two weeks on the Thanksgiving edition of Fusion: Alpha.

That same show will see a new National Openweight Champion crowned in a five-way ladder match featuring Alex Shelley, Alex Kane, Myron Reed, Zenshi and a mystery entrant.
