CIMA to challenge for MLW World title at Fightland

CIMA is getting a World Heavyweight Championship shot when MLW returns to Philadelphia in February.
MLW has announced that Jacob Fatu will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against CIMA at Fightland on Saturday, February 1. The show is taking place at the 2300 Arena.
CIMA made his MLW debut earlier this month, with CIMA’s Strong Hearts stable facing Fatu’s CONTRA Unit group in a six-man tag match at MLW’s Opera Cup tapings.
Fatu has held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship since winning the title from Tom Lawlor this July. Fatu retained against LA Park in the main event of last month’s Saturday Night SuperFight pay-per-view. He also retained against Ross Von Erich on MLW Fusion’s Thanksgiving special, with Lawlor turning against The Von Erichs in an angle during the match.
Fightland is MLW’s second set of television tapings of 2020. They’ll kick off the year with Zero Hour taking place in North Richland Hills, Texas on January 11.
