AAA moves NY show from Madison Square Garden to Hulu Theater

Lucha Libre AAA’s event in New York City next month officially has a new home.
It was announced today that AAA’s Invading NY show has been moved from Madison Square Garden to the smaller Hulu Theater at MSG. Both venues are owned by the Madison Square Garden Company. The Hulu Theater lists a capacity of 5,600 people.
Those who have already purchased tickets will be guaranteed a new seat assignment of equal or greater value.
“We are thrilled to bring the most popular Lucha Libre legends to fans in the Hulu Theater at MSG,” AAA’s Dorian Roldan said in a press release. “We want to ensure the quality of the experience for our New York area fans and the Hulu Theater offers the kind of setting in keeping with many AAA extravaganzas. Every seat is up close to the action and less than 177 feet from the ring, so our fans will have the kind of exciting, personal experience they expect from AAA.”
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that about 2,000 tickets had been sold for the MSG show.
Invading NY is taking place on Sunday, September 15. AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Tessa Blanchard will defend her title against Taya Valkyrie at the show, and Blue Demon Jr. vs. Dr. Wagner Jr. in a rematch from the main event of Triplemania XXVII has also been announced.
Invading NY will air live on Fite TV. The price is listed as $29.99.
AAA Invading LA is scheduled to take place at The Forum in Inglewood, California on Sunday, October 13.
