Tetsuya Naito & BUSHI planning US tour

Tetsuya Naito and BUSHI have revealed some more information about what they’re planning for their post-NJPW careers.

The two former Los Ingobernables de Japon members departed NJPW in May and already have one indie date lined up — Revolution Pro Wrestling’s Summer Sizzler show in the United Kingdom on July 25. In an article published by Tokyo Sports today, it’s noted that Naito and BUSHI are planning one more U.K. date in addition to that and are in talks to work matches for multiple promotions in the United States in August and September.

Naito and BUSHI have not announced which promotions they will be working for past the RevPro event.

Following their NJPW departures, Naito and BUSHI are now using Los Tranquilos de Japon as their new group name. They will have new theme music called “El Comienzo [the beginning].”

Naito said he is focused on working internationally right now but kept the door open to compete domestically in Japan before the end of the year. Neither he nor BUSHI have wrestled anywhere since their last NJPW match in May.

“I want to solidify my future while going to places where I have not been able to show Tetsuya Naito’s matches until now,” he said. “I am not considering domestic options at all at the moment. If an offer comes, I will of course consider it, and if I feel like it after playing matches, I may appear in a domestic organization by the end of the year.”

The 43-year-old Naito is one of the most popular wrestlers in Japan and had five World Championship reigns during his NJPW career. His NJPW departure came after he and the company were unable to come to terms on a new contract. BUSHI then requested to leave NJPW along with Naito.
