Pro Wrestling NOAH introducing GHC Women’s Championship

For the first time in its history, Pro Wrestling NOAH will have a women’s champion.
The promotion announced the creation of the GHC Women’s Championship today with the inaugural title holder set to be crowned next month. A 10-woman battle royal at NOAH’s Monday Magic Autumn Episode Three event on November 11 will determine the first champion. The participants for the match have not been revealed yet.
Women’s match have taken place in NOAH since January 2023. At today’s NOAH event, there was a tag team bout where Great Sakuya (the storyline daughter of Great Muta) & Hyan defeated Sadie Gibbs & Jessy Jackson.
This will be the seventh GHC (Global Honored Crown) title to exist in NOAH. There is also the GHC Heavyweight Championship, Junior Heavyweight Championship, Tag Team titles, Junior Heavyweight Tag Team titles, National Championship, and Hardcore Championship.
Established in 2001 with Mitsuharu Misawa as the first champion, the men’s GHC Heavyweight title is currently held by Kaito Kiyomiya.
The November 11 NOAH event is being held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and will air live on streaming service Wrestle Universe.
