Io Shirai appears on Stardom 10th anniversary promotional video

Io Shirai has appeared in a promotional video celebrating Stardom’s 10th anniversary.

She appears in the video, which you can see below, with the NXT Women’s Championship. The video lasts under a minute, and is tied to Stardom’s upcoming 10th anniversary as well as their upcoming anniversary show, All Star Dream Cinderella, which takes place on March 3 at Budokan Hall. Shirai wrestled for the company starting in 2011 and left in 2018 to sign with WWE.

It was recently reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that another former Stardom star, Kairi Sane, expressed interest in working the upcoming anniversary show. While Sane left WWE to return to Japan last year, she still remains under contract to the company as an ambassador. The plan was for her to either work a singles match, or participate in a battle royal. WWE rejected both ideas.

Matches announced for the show are AZM vs. Natsupoi for the High Speed Championship, Donna Del Mondo (Maika and Himeka) vs. Oedo Tai (Natsuko Tora and Saki Kashima) for the Goddess of Stardom titles, an All Star Rumble battle royal, Momo Watanabe vs. Nanae Takahashi, Syuri vs. Konami for the SWA Undisputed World Women’s Championship, Mayu Iwatani vs. Yoshiko in Iwatani’s 10th anniversary match, Utami Hayashishita vs. Saya Kamitani for the World of Stardom title, and Giulia vs. Tam Nakano in a hair vs. hair match for the Wonder of Stardom title.
