MLW Middleweight title vacated, ladder match to decide new champ

The MLW Middleweight Championship has officially been declared vacant.
MLW announced today that the Middleweight title has been vacated due to MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) not being cleared in time for his scheduled title defense at MLW’s live Fusion episode on beIN Sports on Friday, December 14. MJF tweeted on November 25 that he had suffered a fractured elbow and noted that his recovery time would be 4-6 weeks.
There will be a four-way ladder match to decide a new Middleweight Champion on the December 14 live special from the Scottish Rite Temple in Miami, Florida. The ladder match will be Dezmond Xavier vs. Kotto Brazil vs. Andrew Everett vs. Jason Cade. It would have been a five-way match with MJF defending his title if he was cleared to compete in time.
The winner of the ladder match will be the second Middleweight Champion in MLW history. MJF defeated Joey Ryan in July to become the inaugural title holder.
