Independent star, GCW regular Starboy Charlie suffers broken leg

Independent wrestling star and GCW regular StarBoy Charlie suffered a broken leg last night working on the Halloween Hootenanny show promoted by Jamie Iovine.
Charlie teamed with Nick Wayne against NJPW Strong regulars Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson on the show. Charlie hit a Wayne-assisted DDT and landed awkwardly on the spot where the injury occurred.
Charlie took to social media today and revealed the extent of the injury.
“The medical terms are: a spiral fracture of the distal tibial diaphysis with a 5mm lateral displacement of the distal fracture fragment,” he wrote.
Thanks a lot for the love, positivity and kind words. My leg is broken, it sucks, but I’m gonna recover and come back soon hopefully.”
Charlie has been a GCW mainstay in 2021 after first debuting for the company last year. He appeared on all four internet pay-per-view shows run by GCW this month, including Fight Club: Mox vs. Gage, The Aftermath, Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 7 and GCW War Ready.
