Former Tegan Nox no longer set for December indie dates

Nixon Newell (former WWE wrestler Tegan Nox) is no longer scheduled for a pair of indie dates this December.
Following her release from WWE, it was announced that Newell would return to Attack! Pro Wrestling for their Under the Mistletour events in Cardiff, Wales on December 14-15. However, the promotion has now announced that she will no longer be appearing. They hope to bring Newell back in 2025.
Newell was released by WWE on November 1. She had been announced for these shows despite indicating on social media that she has a 90-day non-compete clause. In their statement, Attack! Pro Wrestling thanked WWE for its support “over the past several weeks” in trying to make Newell’s appearances a possibility:
- We’re sorry to announce that unfortunately Tegan Nox (AKA Nixon Newell) will no longer be appearing at our Under The Mistletour events in December.
- We know this news will be disappointing to the ATTACK! community, especially those who have made travel plans for the show. Our fans are the heart of ATTACK! and we’re sorry to let you down.
- We’re already looking into suitable replacements for the shows, and hope to bring Nixon back to ATTACK! In 2025. However, refunds are of course available on request.
- We’d like to thank WWE for its support over the past several weeks in trying to make these appearances a possibility.
Newell is from Wales and regularly appeared for Attack! Pro Wrestling in the past. She made a post on her Instagram stories reacting to these appearances not happening: “Pissed is an understatement! I’ll be back home soon, don’t you worry!”
Indi Hartwell and Baron Corbin also departed WWE on November 1. Newell and Hartwell were both released by the company, while Corbin’s contract was not renewed.
“Some things are just out of your control and you can only do as much as you can,” Newell tweeted after her release. “Let’s clear one thing up though. I’m ready. Ive been ready. Just have to show people what they’ve missed.”
It’s not clear if Newell was originally booked for these dates before her WWE release or not.
