Former Tegan Nox enters free agency, set for indie match

Now that she’s a free agent, Nixon Newell (the former Tegan Nox) is booking her first post-WWE appearances.
Newell entered into free agency yesterday with 90 days having passed since she was released from her WWE contract. Indie promotion Attack! Pro Wrestling has announced that Newell will compete for them on Sunday, May 18 in a match against Dani Luna. It’s a homecoming for Newell with Attack! being based in her home country of Wales.
The show is named C’est La Vie and is being held in Penarth, South Wales.
Newell regularly appeared for Attack! when she was on the indies in the past. She was originally supposed to return to the promotion for two shows in December 2024 but ended up being pulled from those dates. Though they were announced after her release, it appears that they were actually booked while she was still with WWE.
When Newell has her first post-WWE match, it will be her first time wrestling since July 2024. She had two separate WWE stints from 2017-2021 and 2022-2024. She was snakebitten by injuries for much of her time in WWE, but Newell posted the following when she was released last November: “Let’s clear one thing up though. I’m ready. Ive been ready. Just have to show people what they’ve missed.”
