AEW star Kris Statlander set for New Year’s Eve indie show

AEW star Kris Statlander is working an indie date this New Year’s Eve.
Beyond Wrestling announced yesterday that Statlander will be in action at the promotion’s Heavy Lies The Crown show on Tuesday, December 31. It’s taking place from the White Eagle in Worcester, Massachusetts and will air live via IndependentWrestling.TV.

An opponent for Statlander has not been named yet.
Based in New England, Beyond Wrestling is a promotion that Statlander regularly appeared for when she was on the indies. She has worked infrequent indie dates while with AEW, including a return to Beyond this March with a victory over Aaron Rourke. That was Statlander’s first match for Beyond since 2020.
Statlander is coming off a highly regarded bout against Mercedes Mone at AEW Full Gear, where she was unable to defeat Mone for the TBS Championship. Statlander is a former TBS Champion with a reign that lasted from May-November 2023.
Beyond Wrestling’s Heavy Lies The Crown has an 8 p.m. start time on New Year’s Eve. Two matches have been announced for the show so far:
