Two matches added to Impact Wrestling No Surrender

Two matches have been added to the card for Impact Wrestling’s next Impact Plus special.

The former Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins will be on opposite sides of a tag team match at No Surrender, with Matt Cardona & Eddie Edwards facing Brian Myers & Hernandez. Impact Wrestling has also announced that the “Triple Threat Revolver” match will debut at No Surrender. It will feature Trey Miguel, Chris Bey, Ace Austin, Willie Mack, Josh Alexander, Blake Christian, Suicide, and Daivari.

The Triple Threat Revolver match “will be a revolving series of Triple Threat matches – three men begin, when somebody is pinned or submitted another man enters. When we get down to the final three, whoever scores the fall is the winner.” The winner will become the number one contender to the X-Division Championship. TJP is the current X-Division Champion and is defending his title against Rohit Raju at No Surrender.

Cardona & Edwards vs. Myers & Hernandez was set up for No Surrender after Cardona made a save for Edwards on this week’s Impact. After having his eye poked by Fallah Bahh two weeks ago and Edwards attacking his eye last week, Myers appeared while wearing an eye patch. Myers claimed that he’d love to face Edwards at No Surrender, but he had a doctor’s note due to Edwards attacking his eye.

Edwards then attacked Myers, but Hernandez ran in and laid out Edwards. Myers said that Edwards would be facing Hernandez at No Surrender instead. Cardona came out to the ring to make the save for Edwards. There was then a backstage segment where Edwards thanked Cardona for making the save. Cardona said he’s known Myers forever — but he wasn’t the kind of guy to hide behind a doctor’s note. Edwards proposed that they team up against Myers & Hernandez at No Surrender. Cardona told Edwards that he liked that idea.

Cardona made his Impact Wrestling debut by defeating Ace Austin via disqualification at last month’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view. Cardona & Josh Alexander then defeated Austin & Madman Fulton on Impact last week. There was a segment following the match where Myers told Alexander that he had the opportunity to be Myers’ partner but instead settled for Myers’ Marty Jannetty.

No Surrender will air on Impact Plus on Saturday, February 13. Here’s the updated card for the show:

  • Impact World Champion Rich Swann defends against Tommy Dreamer
