Title eliminator tournament set for Impact Knockouts Knockdown

A one night, eight-woman tournament for a future Knockouts title shot will be the focus of the October 9th Impact Knockouts Knockdown special on Impact Plus.
Gail Kim made the announcement on Thursday’s Impact Wrestling, saying that four current roster members would take on four women from outside the promotion.
While none of the women were formally announced, Kim had previously said that Lady Frost, Renee Michelle and Mercedes Martinez would be on the show.
The all-woman’s show will also see Knockouts Tag Team Champions Decay (Rosemary and Havok) defend against either Rachael Ellering and Jordynne Grace or The Influence (Madison Rayne and Tenille Dashwood). Those two teams will face each other next Thursday with the winner earning the title shot.
Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo will defend her title against a mystery opponent and there will be a Monster’s Ball match in honor of the late Daffney who took part in the first-such women’s match against Taylor Wilde in 2009.
The show was filmed last weekend in Nashville, Tennessee, during the company’s three days of tapings.
