Rich Swann re-signs contract with Impact Wrestling

Former Impact Wrestling World, X-Division and Digital Media Champion Rich Swann has resigned with the company for two more years.
Swann revealed the news on a podcast appearance with Chris Van Vliet Thursday.
“They have done nothing but treat me with the utmost respect. It’s been a place to where I’ve been able to grow, I’ve been able to watch other competitors grow and I’ve been able to watch the company grow into a spot to where it should be,” he said.
Swann’s Impact career began in 2018 following his release from WWE and he has remained part of the company ever since while also working in various indies.
After a seven-month run with the X-Division title in 2019, Swann won the company’s top prize in October 2020, holding it until he lost it to then-AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a winner take all match at April 2021’s Rebellion.
He briefly held the Digital Media title earlier this year.
