TNA Wrestling parts ways with vice president of marketing Lou D’Angeli

Another high-ranking employee is gone from TNA Wrestling.
Lou D’Angeli is no longer with the company. His departure was first reported by Fightful on Friday.
D’Angeli is the former “Sign Guy Dudley” from ECW and had been the Vice President of Marketing for Anthem Sports & Entertainment since March 2022. He’d also been WWE’s Director of Marketing from 2006 to 2010 and later worked with Cirque de Soleil for 11 years.
Our own Dave Meltzer noted on last night’s Wrestling Observer Radio that D’Angeli’s assistant is also gone from the promotion.
“They have no marketing team, they have no live events team, they have nothing booked after the first weekend of (August),” Meltzer said on the show.
Meltzer continued to discuss what the recent departures could mean for TNA.
“Everyone is kind of waiting. They know something’s up but they don’t know exactly what. Scott D’Amore was let go and when that happened, it raised a lot of eyebrows.”
“Everything that we had heard was that Anthem was trying to spend less. So, I think that the situation was that whatever the losses were, they were more than Anthem was happy with to keep the number one rated show that they have,” he continued.
PWInsider is reporting that D’Angeli’s departure is said to have come after a meeting he had with Anthem executives last week where the two sides mutually agreed to part ways.
D’Angeli is just the latest in a series of departures from TNA Wrestling. Robert “RD” Evans resigned from the company last week after having been part of the creative team since October 2019. David Sahadi, who had been the company’s head of production for years was also let go last week. TNA also fired its former president, D’Amore, in February.
