Report: Chris Bey needed surgery after injury at TNA TV taping

An update is available on Chris Bey.
Bey was injured on Sunday at TNA’s TV tapings at Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit. The nature of his injury and how it occurred are unclear, but he was put in a neck brace and stretchered out of the venue after ABC’s match against The Hardys.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Bey was taken to hospital, where he underwent surgery to treat the injury. He is said to be recovering post-surgery, but details beyond that are not known.
Bey has been with TNA dating back to 2018. He’s a former X-Division Champion and has won the TNA World Tag Team Championships three times with his partner Ace Austin. On Saturday, he and Austin wrestled The System’s Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers and Matt & Jeff Hardy in a Full Metal Mayhem match at TNA Bound for Glory. The Hardys won the match and the TNA tag team titles for a third time.
