New champion Nic Nemeth to kick off TNA Impact this week

An appearance by the new TNA World Champion will kick off the Slammiversary fallout edition of Impact.

Last weekend’s pay-per-view ended with Nic Nemeth (the former Dolph Ziggler) winning the TNA World Championship in a six-way elimination match. TNA has announced that Nemeth will open Impact this Thursday. The episode airs on AXS TV and TNA+ starting at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

Moose, Frankie Kazarian, Josh Alexander, Joe Hendry, and Steve Maclin are the other competitors who took part in the Slammiversary main event. Going into the PPV, Moose was the TNA World Champion. He was eliminated by Hendry in the match. It came down to Nemeth and Kazarian as the final two.

Alexander turned heel at Slammiversary by giving Hendry a low blow and beating him down after eliminating him. On Impact, we’ll hear from Alexander for the first time since turning heel.

The announced lineup for the episode is listed below. Spoilers can be found here.
