Mauro Ranallo to call Omega vs. Swann at Impact Rebellion

Impact Wrestling is pulling out all the stops for its upcoming Rebellion pay-per-view main event that features their World Champion Rich Swann against AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a title vs. title match.

ESPN’s Marc Raimondi broke the news Thursday that former WWE and NXT broadcaster Mauro Ranallo will be calling the main event on Sunday, April 25th. Impact tweeted about Ranallo shortly after Thursday’s Impact Wrestling wrapped.

This will be the first time the Showtime boxing and Bellator MMA play-by-play man has callled wrestling since he and WWE parted ways last August. In a December interview, he was very complimentary of the company in explaining why he left.

PWInsider reported that Ranallo is only coming in for this match with the deal coming together over the last several weeks. They also said Ranallo was at Impact’s studio Wednesday doing voiceover work for Omega vs. Swann video packages as well as this Tuesday’s preview show on AXS. Some of that content has already been released on their YouTube channel.
