LAX’s Santana cleared to return to the ring after MCL injury

After suffering a knee injury earlier this month, LAX’s Santana has been cleared to return to the ring.

Santana posted a tweet today announcing the news: “IM CLEARED!!! Thanks everyone for the positive vibes sent my way. It truly meant the world. Now LETS GET IT!”

Santana suffered the injury during LAX’s triple threat tag match against oVe (Jake & Dave Crist) and the New York Wrecking Krew (Smoothe Blackmon & Chris Seaton) at Impact and House of Glory Wrestling’s Code Red show on May 5.

In a statement that he posted on May 9, Santana revealed that the injury was a stage two tear in his MCL. He apologized for the events LAX (Santana & Ortiz) had to call off over the next couple of weeks, noting that the doctor stressed the importance of rest to him if he wanted to avoid surgery.

LAX are the current Impact Tag Team Champions. They won the titles from the Lucha Bros (Pentagon Jr. & Fenix) at Impact’s Rebellion pay-per-view last month.

LAX defending their Tag Team titles against The North (Josh Alexander & Ethan Page) will air on this Friday’s episode of Impact.
