KUSHIDA, Trent Seven among TNA departures

More TNA departures are taking place.

Dave Meltzer is reporting that KUSHIDA and Trent Seven are among the latest names set to leave the company. This follows PWInsider reporting that both are leaving the company. Both most recently wrestled for the company at their TV tapings this weekend and also wrestled at Final Resolution. KUSHIDA lost to Moose while Seven lost to Ace Austin.

In Monday’s Daily Update, Meltzer suggested that the relationship between TNA and NJPW has ‘cooled’, though may still work together as both air television on the same station, AXS TV.

“It appears formal relations with TNA and New Japan may also be done. Relations were said to have cooled when [Scott] D’Amore was gone,” he wrote. “But since both are on the same channel, one owned by TNA’s parent company, there are political reasons for a relationship for both sides.”

Among the other names leaving the company include Rhino, who had just been inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, and ring announcer Jade Chung, the wife of TNA star Josh Alexander who is also expected to leave in February when his contract expires.
