Jonathan Gresham signs contract with Impact Wrestling

Former Ring of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham has signed a contract with Impact Wrestling and already has a former ROH Champion in his sights.

Gresham returned on Thursday’s AXS show to back up Delirious after Eddie Edwards was working to remove his mask after defeating him. Edwards rolled out of the ring and the two exchanged words as Edwards walked up the ramp.

It was later announced that Gresham had signed a deal (terms undisclosed) and that he will face Edwards at Hard to Kill on Friday, January 13th.

Then-ROH World Champion Gresham made his in-ring debut for Impact at this past January’s Hard to Kill, defeating Chris Sabin in a Pure rules match. He spent three months in the promotion, going 5-0 before wrapping up in March.

He and Edwards were originally set to wrestle earlier this year during the early development of the Honor No More faction that Gresham was at odds with. However, that match never happened.

The two have wrestled in a singles match once before, back in 2016 for a Rhode Island indie promotion.
