Impact Wrestling results: Pentagon Jr. vs Eli Drake

Previously: Su Yung viciously attacked Rosemary and stuffed her in a casket.

Tonight: Impact World Champion Pentagon Jr. defends against Eli Drake.

– At Destiny Wrestling in Toronto, Anthony Carelli gave Don Callis an award. Sami Callihan showed up and viciously attacked Callis. He was badly injured and busted open. Callihan attacked Callis because he threw in the towel for Eddie Edwards at Impact vs. Lucha Underground.

Josh Mathews set up the footage by recapping Callis’s career and his last few months working with Impact. He also mentioned Callis’s role in setting up Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega for Wrestle Kingdom 12 earlier this year. Mathews announced that Impact management is having a meeting to discuss Callihan’s future and they will cut away when a decision is reached.

DJZ & Andrew Everett defeated LAX

LAX hit an assisted cutter for a close near fall. DJZ got the hot tag and hit a huge cross body block. Everett hit a moonsault off the apron onto Ortiz and a springboard drop kick on Santana. Everett executed an incredible looking moonsault to the floor. LAX set up for the Street Sweeper but DJZ countered into a hurricanrana for pin.

– Backstage, Joseph Park wasn’t buying Grado’s story about his new girlfriend. Grado’s girlfriend, Katarina, showed up and Park was speechless.

Grado (w/ Katarina) defeated Rohit Raju

Raju gained the advantage and wore down Grado. Grado made a comeback and won after hitting a cannonball in the corner.

– Backstage, Joseph Park was on the ground unconscious and marked with a red x.

El Hijo Del Fantasma defeated Aerostar, Drago, and Taiji Ishimori

Ishimori hit a moonsault to the floor on Fantasma. Aerostar sent Drago to the floor and followed up with a springboard dive but Aerostar had a nasty landing.

All four traded stiff shots in the middle of the ring. Drago hit a flip dive onto Ishimori and Fantasma scored with a suicide dive. Aerostar hit a huge second rope springboard dive to the floor taking out Fantasma. Finish came when Fantasma hit the Thrill of the Kill on Aerostar for the win. Fantasma earned an X Division title shot.

– In the back, Eddie Edwards barged into the meeting management was having about Sami Callihan. Management decided that Callihan is fired but Edwards demanded not to fire him. They agreed not to fire Callihan but won’t sanction a match between them. 

Moose defeated Kongo Kong (w/ Jimmy Jacobs)

This was taped at a recent House of Hardcore event. Kong gained control after sending Moose into the guardrail. Kong wore down Moose and worked over the back. Moose made his comeback and hit a senton. Jacobs jumped in with a chair to cause the disqualification.

– KM trained Fallah Bahh to get him in shape. KM enjoyed ice cream during the intense training.

Brian Cage defeated Takashi Sugiura

This was footage from a recent Pro Wrestling NOAH event. Cage scored a close near fall after a superplex from the apron. Sugiura gave Cage a German suplex into the corner. Sugiura followed up with a top rope hurricanrana.

Sugiura went for the running knee but Cage caught it and executed a buckle bomb. Cage hit the Tornado Claw for a two count. Finish came when Cage hit the Drill Claw for the win.

Flashback Moment of the Week: Suicide defeated Jay Lethal, Consequences Creed, Alex Shelly and Chris Sabin in Ultimate X 

Suicide held onto the cable after a tower of doom spot that took everyone else out. Lethal attempted a superplex on Shelly but Sabin caught Lethal with a German suplex. Sabin and Shelly gave Creed a slice bread/power bomb combo. Finish came when Suicide jumped from the structure to the center to grab the belt.

– Allie stared in a mirror and recalled Su Yung’s attack on Rosemary last week. There was a knock at the door. She found a scary looking doll with note. Allie read the note and her head began to twitch.

Impact World Champion Pentagon Jr. defeated Eli Drake to retain his title

Drake gained control and wore down Pentagon. Drake attempted a springboard but Pentagon kicked him in the stomach. Drake attempted the Gravy Train but Pentagon rolled through. Drake missed a moonsault and Pentagon hit the Pentagon Driver to retain the title.
