Impact Wrestling ratings up against second week of NFL season

Despite going against regular season NFL football for the second straight week, Impact Wrestling viewership was up again last night.

The episode averaged 258,000 viewers on Pop TV, up from last Thursday’s 236,000. This is the fifth straight week that Impact viewership has been up, with the promotion climbing back after drawing just 168,000 viewers on August 9.

The rating in the 18-49 demo was a 0.07, which was also up from last Thursday’s 0.05.

Impact World Champion Austin Aries retained his title against Fallah Bahh in this week’s main event after the match was set up in the opening segment.

Last Thursday’s show faced competition from the opening game of the NFL season, which drew 19 million viewers on NBC after starting 45 minutes late due to a weather delay. The Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens game that aired on the NFL Network last night averaged seven million viewers.

Impact was up year-over-year for the second straight week. The September 14, 2017 edition of the show averaged 239,000 viewers.
