Opening video recapped Honor No More’s invasion, from day one up until No Surrender, where Eddie Edwards betrayed Impact Wrestling and gave HNM the win. Really good video package.
Impact World Champion Moose came down to the ring to open the show. Moose defeated W. Morrissey at No Surrender to retain the title.
Moose talked about being the most dominant champion and proving it month after month, but after No Surrender, everyone was just talking about Eddie Edwards. Moose said that it was him that made Edwards relevant to begin with and if not for the beating he gave him at Turning Point, Edwards wouldn’t have changed. He said the same was the case with Josh Alexander who is now gone, Matt Cardona who turned heel on Jordynne Grace, and while he was addressing W. Morrissey, Heath came out to interrupt.
Heath said that Edwards joining Honor No More wasn’t a joke, they now had a serious problem with Honor No More. Heath said that while he was down, Impact stood by him, so now he was there to stand up for Impact and give them a leader that wasn’t out there joking.
Moose brought up that Heath wasn’t even on Impact the last month or at No Surrender. Heath said it was a COVID protocol situation. He said that he was now negative and ready to challenge Moose for the title.
Moose said that he didn’t care about anyone on Impact, or the wrestlers, and he surely didn’t care about Heath and his family. Heath attacked Moose and took him down with a Wake-up Call. Heath posed with the title over Moose’s body.
Backstage, Team Impact asked Heath to join them and go fight Honor No More. Scott D’Amore stopped them and told them that HNM won and they deserve to be there. D’Amore said that whatever they want to do, they have to wait for the 6-man match and that no one can get their hands on Eddie Edwards. However, Rhino gets Eddie Edwards at Sacrifice, one-on-one.
D’Amore then welcomed Honor No More, but asked why Edwards wasn’t with them. Taven told him that Edwards would arrive on his own because he knew that the Impact locker room was out to get him. Moose approached the group and threatened them to not get in his way, nor come after the Impact title, or there will be problems.
D’Amore said he was disappointed that Moose didn’t have a problem with Honor No More, and so he booked Moose vs Heath for Sacrifice.
Digital Media Champion Matt Cardona defeated Jordynne Grace in a Dot Com-bat Match to retain the title
This match stipulation is technically a no count outs and no DQs match. This is the third match between the two, a rematch after their No Surrender ended in a DQ when Grace hit a low blow on Cardona, while Cardona tried to attack her with a chair.
Grace came out with what looked like a DVD player, and smashed Cardona on the head, but Cardona dodged the pin. Grace had some early offense with a tope suicida and some keyboards that she got from the weapons under the ring, but when she went back to the ring, Cardona caught her with a boot and a suplex to cut her off.
Cardona now worked over Grace with some of the weapons in the ring, but Grace kept kicking out all of Cardona’s pin attempts. Cardona brought in a chair and used it on Grace, but she managed to block a suplex and turn it into a gutbuster on Cardona.
Grace used a selfie stick to attack Cardona and get a near fall, followed with the running knees and sliding elbow. She hit Vader bomb, but Cardona kicked out.
Grace brought out a bag of broken cell phones like they were thumbtacks, but as she did, Cardona attacked her with a computer mouse. Grace managed to block and turn it into a powerbomb on the phones.
Cardona came back with the chair. Grace tried to low blow him, but Cardona was wearing a cup, but after taking off to show off, Grace low blowed him again, did Sock-o with the cup for a two count.
Cardona desperately pushed Grace head first into the chair and rolled her up with his feet on the ropes for the pin.
– The Influence met backstage about Kaleb costing Dashwood her match at No Surrender. The IInspiration interrupted them and said that they were excited to finally be able to wrestle them. They defended Kaleb after Madison Rayne was being rude to him. The altercation ended with Lee slapping Rayne, which Kaleb broke up. Rayne challenged Lee to a match next week.
– Gia Miller interviewed Jake Something about losing on BTI against Austin and Bailey. Something was about to answer when Trey Miguel interrupted him and said that they looked well out there and that he shouldn’t feel bad. Something told him that he was only disappointed, but he was still focused on the X Division title and he was double the size of Miguel, he didn’t need anyone’s pity, only Miguel’s fear.
– Brian Myers was out there as a new commentator, with his own table.
Bhupinder Gujjar defeated John Skyler
This is Gujjar’s third match, a rematch after he defeated Skyler on his debut.
Gujjar had the upper hand early on, but Skyler cut him off after playing possum and pulling him shoulder first into the turnbuckles. Skyler worked on Gujjar’s arm and got a couple of pins before Gujjar made a comeback with a Slingblade, a jumping knee, and a big spinebuster for a near fall.
Skyler cut off Gujjar again by arm, but when he attempted a superplex, Gujjar pushed him off, hit the second rope spear, and got the win. Ok short match.
Suddenly, W. Morrissey walked out, went straight for Brian Myers, took out Skyler on the way, but when he went to chokeslam Myers on the table, Skyler made the mistake of helping Myers, allowing him to escape, and becoming Morrissey’s victim to a BQE through the table.
– Steve Maclin cut a promo that he didn’t care about Edwards had to say, but he had a problem that for weeks, he kept putting the blame on Maclin that he was the traitor. He challenged Edwards to a match next week.
AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Deonna Purrazzo defeated Lady Frost to retain the title
This was another of Purrazzo’s champ-champ open challenges, where she offered a shot at either the AAA Reina de Reinas or ROH Women’s World titles. Her challenge was answered by Lady Frost, who recently took a loss at the debuting Gisele Shaw. Frost challenged for the AAA title.
Match started with an exchange where Purrazzo kept trying to pull Frost into a submission struggle, while Frost used her agility to escape and get offense on Purrazzo. Eventually, Purrazzo took down Frost by the leg, stomped on her knees, and kept her focus on the left leg.
Frost still managed to hit a one-legged moonsault from the apron to the floor, taking down Purrazzo.
Back in the ring, Frost could barely walk, but still got some offense with a dropkick and a rolling cannonball after some gymnastic theatrics. When she tried to climb the ropes, Purrazzo cut her off, locked in a Boston Crab until Frost made the ropes.
Frost rolled Purrazzo, but the latter kicked out, rolled into the Venus de Milo, and tapped out Frost for the win. This is Purrazzo’s second defense of the Reina de Reinas title.
After the match, Gisele Shaw walked down, had a short staredown with Purrazzo, but kept her focus on the ring and Lady Frost. Shaw posed in the ring while Frost was down on the corner, once again, stealing the spotlight.
– Jay White cut a promo backstage about his upcoming match with Alex Shelley, which was strictly business, nothing personal. He said the same about turning on Guerrillas of Destiny, it was nothing personal, but they just didn’t measure up to his standards for the betterment of Bullet Club. He said he was the best leader the Bullet Club ever had.
Karl Anderson and Gallows cut a promo about being the best tag team and being Bullet Club originals.
Eric Young and Violent By Design interrupted them and asked for the tag title challenge they had offered after helping them out. White and Anderson said that the Good Brothers were under new management and were not getting the title shot.
Suddenly, Guerrillas of Destiny ran down and jumped the Bullet Club, and ended up working along with VBD to send Bullet Club running.
JONAH defeated “Outlandish” Zicky Dice
Dice was just recently fired from the Learning Tree by Brian Myers, but now he’s on his own trying to get back on track. Unfortunately, he faces JONAH, who picked up a win against Black Taurus at No Surrender.
Not much of a match, Dice had a couple of strikes in when JONAH cut him off, hit the running senton, hit a sitdown powerbomb, and got the win.
After the match, he hit Tsunami on Dice.
Backstage, Gail Kim told JONAH that he had to stop attacking people after the match. JONAH then asked for real competition, so Gail Kim booked him against PCO at Sacrifice.
Johnny Swinger ran after Kim and cut a promo that JONAH wasn’t gonna make it to Sacrifice because he wanted JONAH in a rematch since he had been training with Bill Dundee.
– Mickie James and Chelsea Green met with Gail Kim to request a title match between James and Green. Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans interrupted them and claimed that Green hasn’t actually done anything to earn a shot, but Kim did bring up the technicality that Green defeated James by DQ some weeks ago.
Steelz said that James only won at No Surrender because Green interfered, so she deserved a rematch.
Gail Kim booked Steelz vs Green next week in a number one contendership match, winner facing James at Sacrifice. Green told James to stay in the back next week.
Also next week, Bullet Club vs G.O.D. & VBD, Madison Rayne vs Cassie Lee, JONAH vs Johnny Swinger, and Eddie Edwards vs Steve Maclin.
For Sacrifice, we already have The IInspiration vs The Influence, PCO vs JONAH, Rhino vs Eddie Edwards, X Division Champion Trey Miguel vs Jake Something, Jay White vs Alex Shelley, Impact Tag Team Champions Good Brothers vs Violent By Design, and Impact World Champion Moose vs Heath.
Honor No More (Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, & Kenny King) (with HNM) defeated Rich Swann, Willie Mack, & Chris Sabin (with Heath & Rhino)
Honor No More defeated Team Impact at No Surrender to earn the right to stay on Impact and become part of the roster, but it came after Eddie Edwards turned on Team Impact. The heat between both parties is still boiling and the fighting continues tonight.
Match started with a brawl where both teams traded momentum and ring control.
Things eventually got under control with Sabin running wild over Bennett and Taven, but after some distraction from PCO, OGK managed to cut off Sabin.
OGK and King kept control over Sabin for some minutes until Sabin managed to dodge and get some offense on the OGK, finally tagging in Swann for the hot tag. Swann and Mack immediately started double teaming Taven with a 3D for a near fall. Mack hit the Samoan Drop and moonsault combo for another near fall, but after taking down both Bennett and Taven, King ran in and took him down.
OGK teamed on Mack and hit the Proton Pack for the win, clean.
After the match, Honor No More controlled the ring. Maria introduced Eddie Edwards to join them, bringing up that Edwads is a triple crown champion in both Impact and Ring of Honor.
Edwards came down to the ring. Swann got in his face, but since D’Amore has ruled that no one can get their hands on Edwards until Sacrifice, he didn’t attack Edwards. D’Amore had to come out and send Team Impact to the back before things got out of control.
Edwards finally addressed his turn. He said he understood everyone’s anger for being betrayed, but they were all wrong about blaming him. Edwards said he had known these men for a long time, but he didn’t join them because they knew each other, but along with them, he also felt betrayed by ROH when they took a hiatus after all the work he did for ROH.
Edwards said that HNM’s issues wasn’t about ROH alone, but with the whole industry, a dishonorable and corrupted industry, including Impact Wrestling.
He said that two years ago, D’Amore and Impact started allowing people from outside to come to Impact, but instead of benefiting Impact, they gave Kenny Omega a title shot and Rich Swann failed to defend the company and allowed Omega to take their title. Edwards said that it had to be the Impact roster who had to fix Impact management’s problems. Edwards said he waited for his shot after Swann, Callihan, and Moose failed to recapture the title, but instead, Impact management gave the spot to Josh Alexander. At that moment, he knew that Impact had lost all their honor and he lost the faith he had in the company, because they showed no faith in him.
He said he was the heart of Impact, but he didn’t turn on them, they turned on him long before. At the end, he joined HNM because he gave his life for Impact, but Impact never gave anything back.
Alisha Edwards came out to confront Edwards. They did mention they had talked about it, but Alisha wasn’t happy that Edwards had to come out and make it public. She said that Edwards should be instead asking for forgiveness from the locker room and the fans. She understood that Edwards wanted to be the savior, but it ended up being Josh Alexander who brought the title back. Edwards told her that HNM was his family now and told Alisha that her place in his family was up to her and whether she was also going to turn her back on him. Edwards walked away with the rest of Honor No More, while Alisha stayed in the ring, rejecting HNM’s invitation to join them.
