Impact Wrestling adds four new matches to Emergence
Four new matches have been announced for Friday’s Impact Emergence special on Impact Plus, finalizing the card.
Madison Rayne will make her in-ring return when she faces Taylor Wilde. Rayne initially announced her retirement in January 2021, but will get back in the ring after having not wrestled for the promotion since November of last year.
Ahead of their clash at NWA Empower, Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo will get a chance to lock up with Melina when she and “Drama King” Matthew Rehwoldt team up to face Melina and Trey Miguel. The match was made after Purrazzo attacked Melina after her Impact debut victory Thursday over Brandi Lauren, leading to Miguel to come out for the save.
Matt Cardona will take on Rohit Raju after several weeks of back and forth between the two. Cardona was able to pick up a win over Raju’s sidekick, Shera, on Thursday’s show.
Tasha Steelz, Savannah Evans, Fallah Bahh and No Way will team up to face Decay (Crazzy Steve, Rosemary, Havok and Black Taurus) in a eight-man tag match. This came to fruition after weeks of turmoil between Knockouts Tag Team Champions Havok & Rosemary and the newly formed team of Steelz and Evans. On Thursday’s Before The Impact, Steelz picked up a win over Havok.
