Impact TV taping spoilers: Title changes, Over Drive main event set

Following Friday’s Bound for Glory in Albany, New York, Impact Wrestling held a TV taping Saturday night in the same building which was delayed for nearly an hour due to the lack of an ambulance on site.

While they were waiting for it to arrive, backstage host Gia Miller, creative team member Tommy Dreamer, former Impact World Champion Rich Swann, Johnny Swinger and Laredo Kid did trivia with the fans, also taking pictures and signing autographs.

Impact for Thursday, October 13th — 

  • Impact World Champion Josh Alexander started with a promo and called out Bully Ray who won Friday’s Call Your Shot gauntlet. After they shared some words, Steve Maclin came out and ran down Bully Ray, Moose then came out and did more of the same and Bobby Fish eventually came out and challenged Alexander for the title which was accepted.
  • Killer Kelly defeated Tasha Steelz (w/Savannah Evans) in a no DQ match
  • Trey Miguel won a seven-man X-Division scramble match over Black Taurus, Alex Zayne, Laredo Kid, Kenny King, Crazzy Steve and Yuya Uemura
  • Gisele Shaw & VXT (Chelsea Green & Deonna Purrazzo) defeated The Death Dollz (Rosemary, Jessicka & Taya Valkyrie)
  • Matt Cardona defeated Bhupinder Gujjar and realigned with Digital Media Champion Brian Myers
  • Impact World Champion Josh Alexander defeated Bobby Fish to retain. After the match, X-Division Champion Frankie Kazarian emerged and teased handing in his title for a shot at Alexander.

Impact for Thursday, October 20th —

  • Bully Ray & Tommy Dreamer defeated Bullet Club’s Juice Robinson & Chris Bey. It was originally scheduled to be Austin & Bey, but Robinson got the nod instead. After the match, Bully Ray and Bey had a long talk at ringside.
  • Taylor Wilde defeated Mia Yim. Mickie James came out and intimated she wanted to face Wilde next as part of her Last Rodeo win or retire tour, but VXT & Gisele Shaw came out to attack. Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace then came out to even the odds and run the heels off.
  • Joe Hendry defeated Jason Hotch
  • In an in-ring promo, Frankie Kazarian then handed over the X-Division title to Scott D’Amore and utilized Option C to cash in for a title match against Alexander at for November’s Over Drive. There will now be an eight-person tournament for the title with the finals taking place there as well. Maclin attacked Kazarian from behind until Alexander came out for the save.
  • Rich Swann defeated Eric Young. Sami Callihan saved Swann from a post-match attack by Young and Deaner.
  • Heath & Rhino defeated The Kingdom to win the Impact Tag Team titles. After the match, Eddie Edwards questioned all of Honor No More and PCO finally broke off, taking out everyone. Taven, Bennett, Vincent and Maria Kanellis-Bennett acknowledged the crowd after the segment, a possible indication they are done.
  • The Motor City Machine Guns defeated Raj Singh & Shera
  • Dirty Dango defeated Johnny Swinger
  • Sami Callihan defeated Steve Maclin. Originally slated to be Moose vs. Callihan in a street fight, Moose was taken out on his way to the ring.
