Impact Turning Point results: Rich Swann vs. Sami Callihan


Impact held their Turning Point event tonight on Impact Plus, featuring three title matches
The main event featured new Impact World champion Rich Swann defending the title against Sami Callihan. It also featured a rematch from Bound for Glory, where Su Yung defended the Knockouts title against Deonna Purrazzo in a no disqualification match.
Here are the results:
Eddie Edwards defeated Shawn Daivari
– Edwards defeated Daivari with the Boston Knee Party.
Taya & Rosemary defeated Jordynne Grace & Tenille Dashwood
– Grace was pinned after Dashwood ignored her attempts to tag out, instead focusing on taking selfies.
Backstage, Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake decided to go find Johnny Swinger. Deaner was angry that he had lost to Swinger last week.
Brian Myers defeated Swoggle
– Myers pinned Swoggle with a lariat. Myers continued to beat on Swoggle until Crazzy Steve made the save.
Chris Sabin and James Storm defeated Team XXXL
– Storm and Sabin won following stereo superkicks.
Backstage, the Deaners discovered a gun in Swinger’s belongings.
Rohit Raju defeated Cousin Jake to retain the X Division title.
– Raju retained the title after connecting with a shining wizard.
After the match, Eric Young came down with former Triple Crown champion Joe Doering. Both took out the Deaners.
Willie Mack defeated Moose by disqualification
– Moose continued to beat on Mack until the referee called for the DQ.
Eddie Edwards backstage wished Swann the best of luck prior to his title match later tonight.
The Good Brothers defeated The North to win the Impact Tag Team titles
– Page was pinned following The Magic Killer.
Jordynne Grace was shown trying to get into Dashwood’s locker room. Both she and Kaleb with a K mocked her. Grace left. Alicia Edwards emerged and mocked Grace, leading to both she and Dashwood forming an alliance.
Deonna Purrazzo defeated Su Yung in a No DQ match to win the Knockouts title
– Purrazzo regained the title after landing a cradle piledriver.
Rich Swann defeated Sami Callihan to retain the Impact World title
– Swann retained the World title after four spin kicks. Ken Shamrock tried to interfere, but was met by Eddie Edwards.
