Impact ratings rebound a bit, still second-lowest number of 2018

Coming off a 32-percent drop in viewership for last week’s show, Impact Wrestling ratings managed to rebound a bit on Thursday night.

Last night’s episode averaged 210,000 viewers on Pop TV, up from 168,000 viewers for the previous week’s Impact. Last Thursday was the third-lowest number for a new episode of Impact since the company debuted on Pop.

The rating in the 18-49 demo was a 0.06 this week, up from a 0.04. The show featured a street fight between LAX and The OGz, Fenix vs. Sami Callihan, a non-title match between Knockouts Champion Su Yung and Allie, Eli Drake vs. Joe Hendry, Johnny Impact vs. Jimmy Jacobs, and the debut of “The Smokeshow” with Scarlett Bordeaux.

The three lowest viewership totals for Impact in 2018 have all taken place this month. The August 2 episode averaged 248,000 viewers and went against the first NFL preseason game of the year. The last two weeks have also faced competition from the NFL preseason. Impact will be going against Thursday Night Football when the regular season begins.

For a year-over-year comparison, Impact drew 320,000 viewers for a special Destination X episode on August 17, 2017.
