Impact notes: Scott Armstrong, Deonna Purrazzo vs. Masha Slamovich

PWInsider reported several notes following last week’s Impact Wrestling double dip in Chicago, Illinois, that included Friday’s Emergence and Saturday’s TV taping.
One of the notes was that Scott Armstrong started over the weekend — both behind the scenes as a producer and also as a referee. He worked for TNA as far as back as 2002 before eventually signing with WWE following the WCW sale.
He was released this past January after 15 years in WWE during another round of cuts, alongside his brother Brian “Road Dogg” James and others.
Violence at Victory Road
As noted in the spoilers for the next two weeks of TV, a beaten up Sami Callihan came out near the end of the night to challenge recent adversaries Moose and Steve Maclin to a barbed wire match.
PWInsider reported the date for that three-way will be on Friday, September 23rd at the Victory Road special on Impact Plus.
Jordynne Grace’s next challenger
At the end of the taping during the announcers’ plugs for future action, it was revealed that Masha Slamovich would face someone with a Knockouts title shot on the line.
PWInsider noted that her opponent will be Deonna Purrazzo with the winner moving on to challenge Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace at Bound for Glory. Slamovich confronted Grace at Friday’s Emergence.
That match, the Impact Tag Team title match between champions The Good Brothers and the OGK, and Mickie James addressing her future are all scheduled for their tapings in Dallas, Texas, later this month.
