Impact notes: Ratings, new matches announced for Tuesday

Impact Wrestling’s first show of 2021 on AXS TV brought in 148,000 viewers and a .04 in the 18-49 demo Tuesday.

The demo was good for 140th on cable for the night.

By comparison, the December 15th Impact did 177,000 viewers and a .04 in the 18-49 demo. That was down from 221,000 and a .08 for the first show after Kenny Omega won the AEW World title with Don Callis’ help.

Impact closed the year with two “Best of” editions. The first brought in 133,000 viewers and a .03 in 18-49 while the second did 103,000 viewers and a .01 in 18-49. Neither charted in the top 150 shows of the night.

Impact announced three new matches for Tuesday’s show, joining Impact World Champion Rich Swann vs. Karl Anderson in a non-title match.

  • Taya Valkyrie (w/ Rosemary) vs. Kimber Lee (w/ Deonna Purrazzo): Valkyrie is getting a Knockouts title shot against Purrazzo at January 16th’s Hard To Kill.
  • Cody Deaner (w/ Eric Young and Joe Doering) vs. Tommy Dreamer (w/ Rhino and Cousin Jake): All six will be involved in a six-man tag at Hard To Kill.
  • Tenille Dashwood (w/ Kaleb with a K) vs. Rosemary
