Show Recap —
– Earlier today, Joseph Park and Grado arrived at the Impact Zone. Grado is planning to propose to Laurel Van Ness to avoid deportation, but he’s reluctant to go through with it.
Ethan Carter III, Eli Drake & Chris Adonis defeated Eddie Edwards, Moose & Naomichi Marufuji
Buddy Dyer, the mayor of Orlando, served as the special ring announcer for this match.
The faces controlled the early part of this one. Edwards sent EC3 and Drake to the floor. He set up for a dive, but Adonis cut him off with a clothesline. The heels then isolated Edwards in their corner.
Moose got the hot tag and ran wild. EC3 tried using the Grand Championship belt. When the referee took it away, EC3 used a low blow and followed with the Ethan Carter Driver (ECD) on Moose to win the match.
– In the back, McKenzie Mitchell approached the guy who is always doing squats. His name is Richard Justice and he’s a stand-by wrestler. He needs to stay warm in case they need him to compete.
– Bobby Lashley headed down to the ring and called out Bruce Prichard. Lashley demanded a title shot, but Prichard didn’t like everyone making demands. Matt Sydal walked past Prichard and got in Lashley’s face. Lashley shoved Sydal and attempted a spear, then Sydal caught Lashley with a knee and hit the shooting star press.
Taiji Ishimori defeated Davey Richards in a Super X Cup tournament match
Ishimori started off with a fast pace and sent Richards to the floor. Richards gained the advantage and slowed down the match. He used several different submission holds, but Ishimori made a comeback and the pace picked up again.
They traded pinfall attempts in the center of the ring. Ishimori attempted a handspring move off the ropes until Richards caught him with an ankle lock. Ishimori came back with a shining wizard and hit the 450 splash to advance. It will be Ishimori vs. ACH in the semifinals.
– Backstage, Bruce Prichard announced that Bobby Lashley and Matt Sydal will compete against each other at Destination X in three weeks. The winner will receive the title shot he desires.
Unified Knockouts Champion Sienna (w/ KM) defeated Rosemary in a last Knockout standing match to retain her title
Rosemary had the early advantage and set up a table in the corner, though Sienna pulled Rosemary’s shirt over her head to take over. Sienna set up a second table at ringside. Rosemary used a tarantula submission using the guardrail in the crowd.
Sienna used the AK 47 on the apron, sending Rosemary to the floor. Rosemary came back and gave Sienna a Red Wedding on a chair. They were both down when KM came in to help Sienna to her feet.
Rosemary climbed to the top, but KM tried to interfere. She spit the green mist into KM’s eyes, but Sienna shoved her off the top turnbuckle through the table on the floor to win the match.
Octagoncito defeated Trevor Lee by countout
Lee still has the X Division belt after stealing it from Sonjay Dutt. Dutt remains banned from the Impact Zone.
Lee was in control early until Octagoncito made an impressive comeback. He took over and sent Lee to the floor, with Lee taking the countout loss. Dutt ran down to the ring, but Lee took off through the crowd.
– At the LAX Clubhouse, Konnan went over their game plan for tonight. Homicide will start the match and they’ll expose some of Alberto El Patron’s nagging injuries.
– Grado and Joseph Park came out for the proposal, with Grado wearing a bright orange suit. Sienna tried to stop Van Ness, but it failed. Grado got down on one knee and proposed. Allie ran down and cheered them on until Braxton Sutter dragged her to the back. Grado asked again, but Kongo Kong came down and Grado and Park took off.
Alberto El Patron defeated LAX (Homicide, Ortiz, and Santana) w/ Konnan and Diamante by DQ in a gauntlet match
El Patron jumped Homicide to start the match and pinned him within minutes.
Ortiz jumped in and took over on El Patron. They fought on the top turnbuckle and El Patron hit the double foot stomp to score the win.
Santana came in immediately and beat down El Patron. LAX ganged up on El Patron on the floor, but he made a comeback, caught Diamante, and tossed her onto Homicide. El Patron locked on the cross armbreaker on Santana before Ortiz ran in for the DQ.
LAX continued to beat down El Patron after the match. They tied his hand behind his back and continued with the beatdown. Dos Caras and El Hijo de Dos Caras tried to help but were overpowered. Veterans of War ran down for the save and a huge brawl broke out.
