Deonna Purrazzo regains Knockouts title at Impact Rebellion

Deonna Purrazzo is the new Impact Knockouts Champion after defeating Jordynne Grace to win the vacant title at Sunday’s Rebellion pay-per-view.

Purrazzo picked up the win after a sunset bomb off the top rope followed by the Queen’s Gambit piledriver to get the pin in the middle of the ring.

The two battled in the main event of the PPV, following the co-main event that saw Purrazzo’s husband Steve Maclin win the vacant Impact World title with a win over KUSHIDA.

With the win, Purrazzo became a three-time Knockouts titleholder while Grace was denied her third run with the gold.

The match was a physical one that saw both women go all out, unable to finish the other with various finishers. Both shook hands and embraced after the match in a show of respect.

The bout was originally supposed to feature Mickie James defending in a three-way, but James relinquished the title this past Thursday due to her dealing with several injuries that have kept her out of her last two title defenses.

Purrazzo earned her spot with a win in a four-way at Multiverse United while this was Grace’s automatic rematch after losing to James at January’s Hard to Kill.
