Chelsea Green returns to Impact Wrestling at Slammiversary

Chelsea Green has returned to Impact Wrestling.
Green appeared as Matt Cardona’s mystery partner at tonight’s Slammiversary PPV. Green and Cardona defeated Brian Myers and Tenille Dashwood in a mixed tag match.
It has been a busy week for Green, as she also appeared on this past Sunday’s Ring of Honor PPV, Best in the World. Green stated at Best in the World that she wanted to wrestle on that show, but was deemed unfit by the Maryland State Athletic Commission due to her wrist injury, originally suffered on WWE SmackDown in November 2020. Green was released by WWE on April 15, 2021.
Returning to her “Hot Mess” persona, Green wrestled with a cast on her arm at Slammiversary, but it was announced on the broadcast that she had been cleared for competition.
Green had a prior stint in Impact from 2016 to 2018, wrestling primarily as Laurel Van Ness. She claimed the Impact Knockouts Championship one time, beating Rosemary to win the vacant title in 2018.
