Charlie Haas gives update on Impact injury, looking for more bookings

After a freak accident at last Sunday’s Impact Wrestling tapings, Charlie Haas provided an update on his health Thursday and said that he wants to wrestle more in the year ahead.

Haas was injured during a singles match with Josh Alexander, suffering a concussion as he was running into the corner, slipping and hitting Alexander’s knee and the ropes.

In a tweet, he complimented Impact staff and the roster, adding, “I can’t say enough good things & I truly look forward to working with them again in the near future. I wanted everyone to know I will be just fine, and contrary to some reports, Charlie Haas is not dead.”

It’s unknown on what episode the match will air as Thursday marks their first TV show since the post-Hard to Kill tapings that he was injured at.

He went on to say that the match “lit a new fire” in him and that he is taking bookings for the first time in more than five years.

“There are a ton of crazy & unique matchups happening these days & I want to be a part of it all,” he said.

Known best for his near-decade in WWE over two runs from 2000 through 2009, Haas also spent several years in Ring of Honor as well as the indies.

Since increasing his workload in 2020, Haas has mainly appeared for Texas indie promotions like Texoma Pro and SWE in addition to a few others.
