Ace Austin set to depart TNA Wrestling as contract comes to end

After years in TNA Wrestling, Ace Austin’s time with the company appears to be at its end.
Reported by his former boss Scott D’Amore in his weekly column, Austin’s “contract has come to term. Ace deciding to leave is amicable — he’s been there since he was barely out of his teens and he’s ready to step up.”
Austin took on Mustafa Ali on Thursday’s taped Impact. It’s unclear if that was his final match or if he is finishing up with Friday’s Under Siege and/or Saturday’s TV taping.
The 28-year-old first competed in TNA in 2018 before signing his first contract in 2019. He re-upped in 2022 before re-signing again in the first quarter of 2024.
He won his first title in TNA at 2019’s Bound for Glory in a five-way ladder match for the X-Division title. After holding that belt for nearly six months, he had two shorter runs with the gold in both 2021 and 2022, both of which lasted less than two months each.
He found success in the tag team division with Chris Bey, holding the TNA Tag Team titles three times in 2023 and twice in 2024. He was by Bey’s side when he was paralyzed in a match last October and is someone Bey cited as a constant as he recovered to the point he could walk again.
