Raw will be Monday in Des Moines.  No Brock Lesnar this week.  TNA finishes up its tapings in Orlando.

Smackdown and Main Event will be taped on Tuesday in Kansas City.

–Sorry to report two deaths.  It appears the original Gran Markus passed away last week.  I had first heard it was Gran Markus Jr., but the name didn’t fit, and the name listed in the obit didn’t fit with Gran Markus either.  It also doesn’t fit the age, but his wife posted on Facebook that he died due to complications from diabetes.  Markus was one of the biggest Mexican stars in the U.S. during the 70s, as a main eventer in Texas with his long feud with Jose Lothario as well as all the other top babyfaces in the area for years.  He also worked in California as a babyface, but was far better as a heel.

–Joe McDonnell, a longtime subscriber and huge wrestling fan died yesterday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles according to family friend Steve Brenner.  O’Donnell was a well known sports talk host in Los Angeles.

–UFC brought Ronda Rousey and Jessica Eye to the SWSX conference this weekend (the same conference WWE has a presentation at).  The expectation is that they are doing this to lead to a match between the two of them.

–Today is the 21st anniversary of Mick Foley losing his ear in Munich.  Leslie Smith, the UFC fighter whose ear split and nearly fell off in her loss to Jessica Eye on 11/15, and has since become friends with Foley since people compared their respective injuries, is working with Foley on his fundraising raffle with these prizes at http://www.realmickfoley.com/win-wrestlemania-dream-vacation/  The two are signing a combo photo of each of them with their injuries.
