WWE
- Bryan Alvarez is reporting that no friends or family will be allowed at next week’s tapings in the wake of more people within WWE testing positive for COVID-19..
- This week’s episode of The Bump featured Kevin Owens, Xavier Woods, Tyler Breeze, Fandango, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Cesaro.
- WWE announced a new television deal in Italy today with Discovery that begins on July 1. WWE’s weekly programming will now air with original US commentary on DPlay PLUS, and shows with Italian commentary will air on DMAX.
- Edge posted graphic images of his recent tricep surgery on his Instagram.
- Edge also commented on criticism of his Backlash match against Randy Orton: “I know some of our audience is conditioned to 52 superkick, 82 flip matches. That’s not going to be me. It was never me, but especially not now. I want the match where Bret Hart, Undertaker, & Gerald Brisco are gonna text me after.”
- Renee Young will be the guest on tomorrow’s episode of After the Bell with Corey Graves.
- Matches added to WWE’s YouTube page today include Undertaker vs. Edge in a TLC match from WWE One Night Stand 2008 and Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre from WWE Stomping Grounds 2019.
Other Wrestling
- PWInsider is reporting that CHIKARA is shutting down in the wake of a number of allegations against Mike Quackenbush. CHIKARA talent including Jakob Hammermeier, Hallowicked, Kimber Lee, and Frightmare have resigned from the promotion. Allegations have specifically come out against Quackenbush and Icarus over inappropriate behavior.
- ECCW released a statement saying they have removed people from their promotion following “allegations involving certain members of our promotion”. John Pollock later reported one of these members being Jeff Duncan, the co-owner and booker of the promotion. Duncan gave Pollock the following statement: “I am no longer involved with ECCW. While I deny the allegations, I understand this course of action is best for the company”.
- ATTACK! Pro Wrestling in the UK are taking an indefinite hiatus from running shows.
- AEW posted this week’s top-five roster rankings.
- Impact Wrestling teased that there will be involvement from Aces & Eights at Slammiversary.
- MLW has announced the signing of Calvin Tankman.
- The New York Post has a story on MLW’s deal with DAZN.
- Cleveland.com has a story on Eric Angle, who along with two other men have received fines and probation from their roles in a steroid ring.
- Moose spoke to The Mirror about which former TNA talents Impact should sign.
- The US Department of Veterans Affairs website has a podcast on Big Swole, an Air Force veteran.

- Yoel Romero vs. Uriah Hall is in the works for the August 22 UFC card.
- Tito Ortiz is “second-guessing” becoming a police officer and is instead considering running to become the mayor of Huntington Beach, California.
- Here is a story on Geoff Neal, the #11 ranked UFC welterweight who has been forced to go back to his second job due to a long UFC layoff.
- Chaz Skelly wrote on Twitter that his submission loss against Bobby Moffett was turned into a no contest by the Colorado State Athletic Commission.
