Monday Update

- We have two weekend shows up, we’ve got a show with Garrett Gonzales talking the news of the week and a Saturday show with Bryan Alvarez talking WrestleDream. Tonight’s show will focus on Smackdown, King of Pro Wrestling and all the news that came out of that show, as well as talk Raw.
Raw tonight was taped last week as WWE is running a house show in Liverpool, England tonight as part of a tour. Raw has tough opposition as the New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Guardians baseball playoff game is on TBS and New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills football is on ESPN, both head-to-head:
- Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs. Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane for women’s tag title
- War Raiders vs. Otis & Tozawa in a tag team tournament match
- The Miz vs. R-Truth
- Kofi Kingston vs. Bron Breakker
- Rhea Ripley & Tiffany Stratton vs. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez
- Smackdown on Friday did 1.65 million viewers and an 0.49, which is a great number. It was the top show on cable and was behind the Dodgers vs. Padres at 7.34 million/1.77 on FOX and the post-game show on all of television. AEW Rampage did 253,000/0.09.

- This Friday at Arena Mexico is the biggest women’s show in the history of Mexico’s leading arena. There are four women’s matches including Toni Storm vs. Catalina as the main event, Persephone vs. Zeuxis in the finals of the women’s champion of champions tournament plus Tessa Blanchard, Unagi Sayaka, Alex Windsor, Red Velvet and Viva Van are in. A lot of the women will be at all the CMLL arenas over the following week leading to the Women’s Grand Prix show on the 25th.
- Trailer for the new Netflix series “The Cage” which is a UFC French TV series which will feature appearances by Georges St-Pierre and Jon Jones among others

- We still don’t know anything for Wednesday’s Dynamite past Mercedes Mone vs. Queen Aminata, Lio Rush vs Shelton Benjamin and that Adam Cole will be doing an interview.
- The movie “Queen of the Ring” about Mildred Burke will debut tomorrow night at the Buffalo International Film Festival. It will also play Thursday in Portland, OR at the Portland Film Festival and Saturday in both Newport Beach, CA at the Newport Beach Film Festival and Saturday and Sunday in Indianapolis at the Heartland International Film Festival.
- Julianna Pena on Ariel Helwani’s show claimed she won four rounds in the fight last week with Raquel Pennington and said that Amamda Nunes wanted to retire so she could take steroids and not get caught.
- Hiroshi Tanahashi said if he could script the January 4, 2026, Tokyo Dome show, he would challenge for the IWGP title, win, and then continue to wrestle until he loses.
- Gabe Kidd vs. Kosei Fujita for the New Japan Strong title has been added to the 11/8 show in Lowell, MA.
- Thom Latimer defends the NWA title against EC 3 on the Samhain 2 show on 10/26 in Tampa.
- Vaolur Pr Wrestling on 10/19 in York , PA at the Vonie B. Greims Gym.
- ESW on 10/26 in Erie, PA at the Sage Club.
